Which feeder actually keeps its promises?

Reliability scores are our editorial synthesis of published third-party reviews and manufacturer specs as of August 2026 — not independent lab testing by this site (yet). Prices and exact specs change; verify on the retailer listing before buying.

Why "app reliability" matters more than the spec sheet

A feeder's WiFi chip and its app are two different things that both have to work. Read reviews for how the product behaves after 6+ months, not just the unboxing — jams and dropped schedules tend to show up after the honeymoon period.

Camera resolution isn't the whole story

1080p is enough to confirm your pet ate. What actually varies model to model: field of view, night vision quality, and whether two-way audio is real-time or laggy. Check for those specifically.

Multi-pet homes need a real mechanism, not a promise

Only RFID/microchip recognition (like SureFeed) or an active bowl-fill check (like HHOLOVE) actually prevents one pet from eating another's portion. A camera alone just lets you watch it happen.

Battery backup is not optional

A power outage shouldn't mean a skipped meal — especially for pets on a medication schedule. Every feeder on this list has some form of backup power; verify the battery type and expected runtime before buying.
